| Publication of Arizona Legal Notices (Legal Advertising) |
For many types of Arizona corporate filings, the state of Arizona requires publication of legal notices. For example, a copy of approved Articles of Organization for an LLC, or Articles of Incorporation for a corporation, or an approved Application for Authority for a foreign (i.e., non-Arizona-based) corporation must be published within 60 days from the date the document was approved for filing by the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC). Publication must be in a newspaper of general circulation in the county of the known place of business in Arizona. The public notice must appear in 3 consecutive issues of the publication. Within 90 days after filing, an affidavit evidencing the publication must be filed with the ACC. The affidavit must state the name of the newspaper in which the notice was published, the place of publication and the date of each publication. A copy of the published notice must be attached to the affidavit.
